Stylish, sensible and all kinds of fun, the Pioneer Argyle has everything you need and more for your next outback adventure.

The first thing that will strike you about a Pioneer camper is its stylish look and professional manufacturing. The attraction is emphasised by a beautiful colour scheme, this one with "Periwinkle Grey" inserts, with black and silver accents. It gives an earthy yet modern appearance that is very appealing. And it has all the accessories and comforts to make life easy – as it was meant to be!

The Argyle sits on a solid, galvanised, full chassis construction with a 100x50x3mm drawbar. Pioneer utilises a mixture of welding techniques, as well as the flexibility of Sikaflex sealed and pop-riveted joints, on panels to reduce fatigue in the powder-coated and Rhino-coated 1.2mm Zincanneal and 2mm marine-grade aluminium sheets.

She rides on Grafta independent trailing arm coil suspension, rated to 1600kg. This is a strong suspension featuring Ridepro 4WD twin tube gas shock assistance and fully replaceable bolt-on stub axles. The Argyle has 15in, five or six stud Sunraysia steel rims with G/T Adventuro all-terrain tyres including a spare wheel and tyre mounted well up under the front of the unit.

The composite floor/roof construction is strong but lightweight combining a fibreglass honeycomb panel surrounded by 1.2mm Zincanneal steel and 2mm black powder-coated aluminium to the outside. It is very well contained with double industrial seals keeping the dust and water ingress to zero. It pivots easily by hand with the tent erecting instantly during the motion. You only need to adjust the last tent bow for tension and she’s ready to go.

The internal floor area is 1.6x2m, allowing enough room for separate kids bunks if you need them and the hard wearing vinyl floor looks and feels terrific under foot. Canvass quality is simply superb with 14.9oz Australian Dynaproof on the roof and 10.9oz to the side walls. There are tonnes of windows, all with midgeproof flyscreens, internal awnings and clears. The roof actually extends out past the forward wall and out over the front of the trailer supported by two poles tied off to the drawbar giving a little more undercover storage for goods outside.
