REVIEW: TALVOR HAYMAN MOTORHOME
If you're looking for a new motorhome to buy then find out why Malcolm Street says Talvor's Hayman is a comfortable long-term tourer.
SPECIFICATIONS: TALVOR HAYMAN
The body of Talvor’s latest motorhome, a new Hayman, is built in the USA, then fitted to the Fiat Ducato cab chassis, here in Australia.
Talvor has sensibly used the Fiat Ducato 180 Multijet model, which comes with a 132kW/400Nm turbodiesel that drives through a six-speed gearbox. It comes in with a Tare of 3920kg and that, with the GVM of 4490kg, leaves a load capacity of nearly 500kg.
I was particularly interested in the new Hayman motorhome. Although the previous model was good, one of the slide-out models had some shortcomings in the internal storage area. With this one, though, there have been considerable improvements on this front.
Additionally, the slide-out – which is just over two thirds the length of the entire wall – adds greatly to the interior area. I reckon it’s one of the best efforts yet for a non-rental motorhome from the Talvor team.
- Bathroom layout
- Bedroom storage cabinet
- Reasonable Luton head height
- Bedside shelves
- Eye-height electrical control panel
I WOULD HAVE LIKED
- Lifting bed above the driver’s cab
- Two gas cylinders
- Security screen with entry door
- Louvre windows
