We have for sale our much-loved SLRV Adventurer. My wife and I have had a fabulous time in this vehicle, mostly in Australia but also exploring in Europe. But old age and ill health mean it is time to pass the vehicle to a younger owner.
 
We are the second owners – we bought from the original purchaser in 2016 at 51,000 km.
 
With only 155,000 km of use, this vehicle has a long life ahead of it and is ready, right now, to drive straight into your chosen adventure. &nbsp;It was serviced by Isuzu only 520 km ago.
 
It has proven ability in the bush and can happily operate off-grid for extended periods.
 
While this is a rugged, no-nonsense off-road vehicle, it comes with many of the comforts of home.
 
The main features are:
 
· The Isuzu engine is a 5.2-liter, four-cylinder, turbo-intercooled diesel designed for torque at low speed. The vehicle will cruise effortlessly all day on the highway at 100 kph but it really comes into its own when chugging along outback dirt roads and difficult mountain tracks. With 4WD, a low range gearbox and lots of ground clearance the vehicle will take you to many places.
 
· In addition to the standard Isuzu fuel filtration system, a Delphi HDF296 pre-filter is fitted to cope with the possibility of dirty fuel in remote areas in Australia or overseas.
 
· The Isuzu engine has an exhaust brake controlled from the steering column. It provides moderate braking and is very useful in limiting the need to apply the friction brakes.
 
· SLRV modified the Isuzu suspension to significantly increase ground clearance and suspension travel.
 
· Super-single wheels are fitted for improved performance in mud, sand and snow and are shod with Toyo Hyparadial all-terrain tyres.
 
· The motorhome body was custom built by SLRV. They have an excellent reputation for constructing vehicles with performance and durability.
 
· The chassis was rust proofed at time of construction.
 
· The original Isuzu seats have been replaced with very comfortable Stratos 904 suspension bucket seats for both driver and passenger. They are fitted with Black Duck canvas seat covers.
 
· Between the driver and passenger seats, SLRV installed a large storage bin.
 
· A padded dog bed is provided and can be fitted on top of the storage bin, if desired. It allows a medium-sized dog to be carried in comfort, looking through the windscreen.
 
· Three custom sunscreens are provided to fit inside the cab windscreen and side windows. This is mainly for UV protection of the cab but also provides privacy.
 
· There is a hatch (850 mm x 300 mm) between the cab and motorhome body. It can be crawled through in an emergency but is mostly useful for communication and for moving items between the two areas. A steel security cover is provided and can be fitted to isolate the motorhome from the cab – this is useful such as when shipping the vehicle overseas.
 
· The basic layout is two single beds. A storage unit is fitted between the beds and incorporates a slide-out table. During the day, custom bolsters are placed on the beds to convert them into lounges. With the table pulled out, the area provides dining room for four people. This multi-purpose arrangement is very comfortable and practical - with large opening windows on three sides, the area is open and visually spacious.
 
· If you prefer a double bed, 2280 mm long x 1250 mm wide, can be created by placing mattress inserts in between the single beds. The single bed mattresses and the double bed inserts are very comfortable 150mm thick latex rubber.
 
· Two large opening skylights are mounted in the roof.
 
· Water: There is 1 x 100 litre dedicated drinking water tank with inline filter and separate tap, plus 2 x 100 litre fresh water tanks. A 100 litre grey water tank is fitted.
 
· A systems display unit is mounted in the van. It shows levels in the various water tanks as well as house battery voltage and current flow.
 
· The cooktop is a 3-burner SMEV unit operating on LPG.
 
· A rangehood is fitted above the cooktop and is ducted outside.
 
· 2 x 8.5 kg LPG cylinders are stored in a vented external hatch.
 
· The refrigerator is a Vitrifrigo 2-door 230 litre compressor unit. It was installed in 2019.
 
· Hot water is supplied by a Truma UltraRapid Hot Water System. It operates on either 240V or LPG. A new unit was installed in 2024.
 
· Space heating is provided by an Eberspächer Airtronic D2 diesel heater with its own fuel tank. A new unit was installed in 2017.
 
· A Dometic B3000 PLUS reverse cycle air conditioner is fitted, providing cooled air in summer and warm air in winter.
 
· 2 x Cafiamo Model 807 Sirocco fans are installed in the van to circulate air in hot weather. They are very effective and consume little power.
 
· The toilet is a standard Dometic CTS 3110 with removable cassette. Flush water comes from the vehicle’s fresh water system – there is no need to fill a separate toilet tank.
 
· In addition to the internal shower, there is an external hot and cold shower.
 
· A comprehensive entertainment system is installed based on a FUSION Marine Stereo MS‑AV600 and ceiling-mounted speakers. This system includes a radio and allows CDs, DVDs and music on a memory stick to be played.
 
· A 21-inch HD LCD TV is wall mounted and receives input from a powered ONE FOR ALL Digital Signal Amplifier.
 
· There are 2 x 12V engine batteries – Isuzu use a 24V starting and lighting system.
 
· There are 4 x 6V house batteries which provide 235 Ah of storage.
· 3 x 135 watt solar panels are bolted to the roof.
 
· A Honda EU20i generator, rated at 1,600 watts continuous and 2,000 watts maximum, is mounted on a slide in its own external hatch.
 
· A 1,200 watt Victron inverter provides 240V power from the batteries.
 
· A Weber Baby Q gas BBQ / oven slides out of a side hatch. It connects to an external LPG bayonet fitting which can also be used to supply other external gas appliances if desired.
 
· The awning, which opens over the motorhome entrance and Weber BBQ area, is a Fiamma F45S. A new unit was fitted in 2024.
 
· The vehicle has a large-capacity 270 litre fuel tank, providing a range of about 1,600 km.
 
· A towbar is fitted with a Tekonsha electronic trailer brake control system.
 
· A heavy-duty custom aluminium bullbar is installed.
 
· A 15,000 lb Warn winch is bolted to the front chassis. It is wound with a steel rope.
 
· A UHF radio is mounted in the cab. The unit is a GME TX3440 40 Channel Compact UHF with LCD Mic.
 
· Two walkie talkies are keptin the cab storage bin. They are ‘Uniden UH820S Handheld UHF‑CB Transceivers’ of 2 Watts. They can interface with the UHF radio in the cab and are useful for communication when reversing.
 
· An air compressor manufactured by Endless Air is mounted on the truck engine and driven by a V-belt from the engine. It is switched on when required and supplies compressed air to a receiver tank boltedunder the rear of the vehicle. It is very useful for reinflating tyres quickly after they have been deflated for driving in mud, sand or snow.
 
· Two Heller spotlights are boltedabove the cab.
 
· A reversing camera is mounted at the rear of the vehicle and displays on a monitor near the driver. It can also be used as a rear vision mirror when driving.
 
· A long-handled shovel is mounted in a readily accessible position between the two spare wheels.
 
· A sturdy SLRV roof rack is bolted above the cab. Heavy items can be lifted onto this rack using a 12V electric crane which is provided.
 
· This same crane can be mounted at the rear of the vehicle to lift the spare wheels.
 
· Two cargo boxes are bolted onto the cab roof rack. One is used to hold a chainsaw and accessories – it is currently set up for a Makita DUC353 electric saw but we previously carried a Stihl MS170 petrol unit. Any chainsaw with a 14” bar should fit OK.
 
· A chainsaw itself is not part of the scope of supply but a 24” bowsaw is mounted in the rear hold under the Weber BBQ. It is useful for cutting small BBQ wood.
 
· The second cargo box is used to hold 5 items of recovery equipment which are included in the scope of supply. Details are set out in the list of spare parts.
 
· A heavy plastic tube straps onto the roof rack and is used to carry fishing rods.
 
· Four MAXTRAX recovery tracks are mounted on the cab roof rack. These have proved to be very useful in sand and mud when there is nowhere to attach the winch.
 
· A variety of wooden chocks are stored in the generator hold. These are used for levelling when camping and the range stored there has covered every situation we have encountered.
 
· A custom jigsaw board is stored under one of the beds. It is sized to pass through the hatch and sits on the cab storage bin overnight with a jigsaw in place. It carries well on one of the beds when travelling. It is a great system if you like doing jigsaws.
 
· Included in the scope of supply is a custom steel frame to carry two electric bicycles at the rear of the vehicle, together with a waterproof cover. It was made to transport two eZee Sprint 7 electric bicycles and these are available for separate purchase. The frame could be modified to carry other bicycle types.
 
· A Dometic WMD 1050 washing machine fits into an external hold. It was installed when we bought the vehicle and works fine but we do not need such an item so it was removed and the hold is currently used for storage. The unit will be supplied with the vehicle and can easily be refitted if desired.
 
· Similarly with the microwave. A Panasonic NN-CF770M mounts onto a shelf in the kitchen. This is a multi-function unit and can be used as a microwave, grill or convection oven. But we found we did not use it so we removed it and currently use the space for storage. &nbsp;It will be supplied with the vehicle and can easily be refitted if desired.
 
· Included in the scope of supply is a comprehensive range of spare parts – a list is available separately. Two spare leaf springs, one for the front and one for the rear suspension, are bolted under the vehicle.
